Re: Parking question for southern members
Hi all, one thing I hate regarding travelling south it's motorway riding. I'm planning the chunnel for heading to the Stella in July and my only misgiving of this is riding the 700 miles each way on UK motorways. My question, is there anyone on here who could give me somewhere to leave my Freelande...

Re: 2002 Africa Twin RD07A
Wow - that's gonna be a serious bargain for it's new owner. :woohoo: Late model RD07A with Ohlins and sensible upgrades with a popular custom paint job - all for £3K - Craig, you're seriously underselling your bike............. I've seen this bike up close - it's a very nice and pretty much...

Re: What to do with a Honda Varadero?
Hey Chris - sounds like a cool project to play around with. As has already been mentioned - lose weight and wear decent suspenders  http://img201.imageshack.us/img201/5569/miniq.jpg Plenty of options on upgrading the rear suspension - and you could have some fun swapping out the front end to a ...

Re: Africa Twins in their natural habitat
If you were to find a complete KTM front end for sale, what sort of price are we talking about? Anywhere from £1K upwards unless you're really lucky and bag a bargain. Buying the forks is only part of the kit you'll need - calipers, discs, hub or complete wheel, yokes, and all the small bit's & ...

Re: Africa Twins in their natural habitat
I'm sure it's good value. Still a lot of money. More than my auld ratter is worth. I'm liking the idea of a second hand complete front end graft from a KTM or something. Just bought all eight new seals for the rear suspension linkage as I'm going in to see what kind of state they're in. Hop...

Re: Africa Twins in their natural habitat
Was the front end an arse to do on the RD04? Wouldn't a complete front end from another bike be easier? No fannying around with spacers for the wheel and callipers. Depends which way you want to do it - you can bolt on the Sachs 48USD kit in an afternoon,as we did with the RD04, or you can take you...
