Re: EU. In or out?

Thanks to all this uncertainty, the value of my shares are dropping and my planned trip to Norway this summer is getting more expensive. In for me. Not sure the grass will be any greener on the other side of the fence.

Re: Reverse battery polarity, I didn't even know it was possible!

Fifty quid's nothing. I hooked up my Electra Glide to the Wife's mini when her battery died. The bike survived unscathed, but the mini needed recovery to a mini dealer, and a week later I had to cough up £1,600

Re: advice on triumph explorers

I've had my 63 reg Explorer from new, two minor recalls and no issues to date. Before that I had a 07 reg Tiger 955i. Also no issues. On the Explorer I've ridden down to Corsica, around Ireland and down to Spain. Off to the Nordkapp in June. As others have said, the engine is superb and the bike has...

Re: How things have changed

Hilarious! Haven't had a good laugh like that since Laural and Hardy in 'Go West'. Wasn't too sure about the first overtake, in front of overtaking oncoming traffic and at the approach to a junction. I note the car behind was a Ford Zephyr mk3. I had a '64 one which my Grandfather owned from new, an...

Re: Ol' Panhead of the Nutcrushers ... !

I was known as Ol' Earl Grey when I was a member of the T100 MC back in the day. Unfortunately I had a big falling out with Ol' Lapsang the club secretary, over a misunderstanding with his then girlfriend Camomile. Things got nasty and eventually PG the club president, had to ask me to leaf.

Re: Thief at large at the Dragon!!!

Happened to me and my mate whilst camping the at European Bike week in Faaker See in 2009. My mate had his camera and phone nicked during the night. Annoying thing is, me and another mate probably saw the culprit virtually in the act, but didn't realise it. My mate who lost his stuff returned back t...

Re: Linked thoughts - adventures too far

Posted a little write up a couple of years back entitled, if memory serves me right 'Calais to Santander via the Alps, the Pyreenes and all the twisty bits in between'. We did exactly that in northern Spain, saw a lane, that became a track, that became a path. You get the picture. Found ourselves in...

Re: Ferry to Spain

I think you'll find Brittany Ferries Santander - Portsmouth - Santander route operates year round. I came back in November last year, and have done several December trips there and back in recent years.
