Northumberland National Park - despite being my most local National Park, I'd never ridden the Old Military Road that runs alongside Hadrians Wall. As you might expect, mostly dead straight! Quite elevated and with a lot of the Wall in view - thoroughly recommended.

Hi flyingwalrus, I rode my Transalp 700 on my first big european trip last September, putting 3500 miles on it down through Italy, by boat to Albania and back through the Balkans, Czech Republic, etc. Bike was perfect for the job, comfortable at motorway speeds and very easy to live with.
