Re: The Honda Africa twin 1000 , warts and all.
Should they not "fold up " to prevent just such a thing ? The way the bracket is made means its quite vulnerable anyway as its sticks out a bit leaving it open to such damage not a very good design for a dirt bike regardless. Im sure my mate Frog will be along shortly ;) Just so you're no...

Re: So....the 1090 Adventure then....
Price point looks to be around £12,150 http://www.ktm.com/gb/configurator/?segment=Travel The base AT is £10800 isn't it? So £1350 difference. The At build quality ain't a patch on KTM (no centre stand, terrible footrests, cheese wheels, brittle hand guards etc..) and for once KTM "seem" ...

Re: What is high mileage?
Just coming upto 57,000 miles on the 950 Adventure, just regular servicing. still original clutch and runs just great, no reason not to see 100,000 in a few years time.
Reckon most bikes should easily top 100,000 miles nowadays with regular and proper servicing.

Re: Spy shots KTM 800 ADV
I suppose we're going to have to think of a label for this expanding sector. I would expect a GS800 replacement is on the cards. What with the AT, GS800, Tiger and now probably KTM. 800-1000cc surely we can't call them middle weight Adventure bikes? Just call them Adventure bikes and call all the o...

Re: Lip removal?
The safety bead on the early 950 adventures is well known as being excessively big and can be an utter bastard to deal with. Anyone who has'nt got first hand experience of it would not believe how hard it can be with certain makes of tyre to break the bead or seat new tyres. The only thing that help...

Nah,I'm over it tbh. If you're 100% happy with it that's good, enjoy it, and you don't need to worry what i think about it, different strokes for different folks innit.

Re: The Honda Africa twin 1000 , warts and all.
You just have to look the footrest/sidestand design to see how well, errrrr not, the Honda R&D has been done on this bike. I am not trying to start argument but no body can touch the "Genius solution" from KTM when it comes to sidestands  Fair comment, no one's saying KTM don...
