Re: is xt660z tenere still a good buy?

It depends on what you want. A standard XT660Z is a massive compromise that's actually more of a styling exercise than a proper all round bike. They're heavy, they're slow, the suspension is basement level and they're actually not that well built. I can say that with 100% honesty because I've had m...

is xt660z tenere still a good buy?

I am more more inclining towards getting this bike new soon. Do you think is it still good idea since xt660z is relatively old technology and design. Somehow I like the look, big tank and clearance and suspension travel plus simple build with minimum electronics. Although my honda nc750x did well in...

Re: Is this the right kit for a rider in the desert?

thickness is for protection and not a problem at all with proper design in hot weather. Just been riding on Sahara desert in pants by Held using Coolmax technology 4quatrotempi and it was very comfortable.

Re: back from Morocco

I must say that bike looks very capable. indeed, my honda was riding along without any issues or difficulties side by side with few transalps, one yamaha XT 600, one africa twin and few bmw GSs (f800gs adventure, f700gs and f650gs). A little bit more ground clearance or skid plate would be nice tho...

back from Morocco

ok, I can now answer myself question I have posted a while ago "is Morocco safe" I didn't get the straight answer for here. It's very safe, really. Just returned from 12 days, almost 3000 kilometers long Morocco trip on my honda nc750x. We rode mostly off pavement roads there and I have to...

Re: is Morocco safe to ride now???

Just really my last reply to this thread which turned out to be a mess thanks to mr. Cullis. I don't like to be wrongly accused so I have to say being a software engineer looks to me mr. Cullis has little knowledge about internet technicalities. If I'd like to use a proxy server to pretend I am from...

Re: is Morocco safe to ride now???

Guys... don't feed the troll. Just let the thread die. Tim, we know who you are already and what sad objectives you and your Horizon Unlimited have so don't beat yourself up. Maybe we rather wait till your website die... p.s. Anybody who travel somewhere without asking questions is simply a fool or...

Re: is Morocco safe to ride now???

I have also seen your posts on the HUBB. I just thought you were a overly cautious but as the day of departure draws close you will either have to man up or live with the fact that you are indecisive and timid, no amount of posting on forums is going to change that. I am off to Morocco for a month ...
