That trek is so cool! You've got one happy mutt too ha ha!
Love to take the ol' XT225 there for a few days, maybe with a tent, any map I can download?
Thanks for posting!

Re: French fuel blockade nation wide
I have a certain grudging admiration for the French....the people seem to have some power and they come together quite effectively to force the government to consider their views (or back down) In the UK we will all bitch and moan (inc me) but there is rarely any joined up protest against governmen...

Re: Classic bike insurance
Highly recommend Peter James Ins. Used to have Footman James, Carol Nash & all the others but Peter James are doing some great multi bike packages. Worth trying 'em out!

Re: Kinda Lost It Today..
Most of the worst inconsiderate driving I see these days tends to be from younger women. But I probably piss other drivers/riders off with my shoddy road behaviour, which includes....... I can certainly relate to that, 10 years of despatching in London and I still have some really bad habits I can'...

Re: Kinda Lost It Today..
Ya, I need to chill, I admit. I think what got to me was he got in my way after belting past me all in a hurry. I see this all the time on our notorious Cat n Fiddle road. Dumb asses, most of them, cos they don't know how to handle a bke and they soon get into trouble. Virtually every weekend there ...

Kinda Lost It Today..
Ok, so there I was travelling up a Buxton Rd on the XT at 30mph (favourite speed trap area btw) when another biker overtakes me at about 45-50mph ish. A bit closer than I'd like considering the multiple pot holes everywhere that everyone swerves to avoid. Reach the traffic lights 20 secs later on a ...

1975 Norton Commando MkIII 850 Interstate; 1994 Triumph 900 Trophy; both from new, plus 2003 Beta Alp 4.0 and my little 2002 Serow 225. Cool! Very similar to you but I've a 1975 Ducati 860 GTE instead of the Norton, a VX800 Suzi roadster & XF650 adventure bike plus my Serow 225 is a 1987 model ...

Re: The Royal Enfield Himalayan ,great value.
Finally got a test ride yesterday on the Himalayan at Bolton Motorcycles. Impressions? Well, I came back feeling that this was a really decent bike. Obviously the power wasn't going to tear your arms out but it was never meant to. Handling was good, suspension worked well enough with the potholes, b...

Re: The Royal Enfield Himalayan ,great value.
Thanks for the reports! Interesting that the bike appears to cope well with two up riding. My planned test ride was foiled by the weather couple of weeks back (beast from the east lol) when the dealer said he wouldn't allow the bike to be taken out in the snow cos of insurance etc. Thought it funny ...
