Re: New Africa Twin?
Who would want a 1000cc off road biased bike..too big..too heavy..too much power when there are many in the 800 co range that already do that. The the german magazine is to be belived, the dry weight of the new AT is going to be 180kg which is less than the BMW F800gs, Triumph Tiger 800 XC and the ...

Re: Re: New Africa Twin?
Am I the only one who hopes it is not like that pic. The AT was a comfy bike that could do lots of road miles and the do some off-road. If it's going to be a more off-road bike then it will loose a lot of sales and it will not go up against the GS range. I think it will be a big comfy GS type thing...

Re: Flip Up Helmets with chin bar rotated all the way back ??
Another option to consider is the Nolan N43 air (tho probably only a 3 season helmet).
Really light around 1.1 kg
Rather than a flip up and rotate back the chin bar is removeable. Once removed it doesn't take up too much space in luggage.

Re: thoughts for buying a bike
Is your te 610 really that bad on tge road?? I'd give it a try on some longer rides before shelling out. You'll be much happier on the lanes when you get there. And have £6k to spend on riding.
