Re: Benelli TRK 502

Ha. Apologies for throwing a spanner in the works! Yes, the stock 310GS is a bit poor in my honest opinion, but the transformation with the RR kit is quite something. If you built it piecemeal you could get away with the suspension upgrade, risers, bars, sump guard, screen etc and that'd immediately...

Re: Benelli TRK 502

Hey Steve Yeah you know what, when I first set off on the Benelli I did think it was a bit buzzy through the bum and feet. On a short ish test ride I can definitely see how you're reach that conclusion. I had a good ride on the regular TRK502 last year over to Wales and I can't say as I noticed it a...

Re: Benelli TRK 502

I had a ride of the X model and thought it quite a decent ride.

Re: Oford Mondial laminated suit

Thanks Catcitrus. Yeah I guess with the Oxford I was hoping for a jacket that would mean I wouldn't have to wear an army surplus over the top, but despite the laminate bling I feel that I still need to. So in a way I may as well have carried on wearing my old Sand 3 which to be honest is a comfier f...

Yes, different perspectives for sure.

All I'd say is that I bought mine with my own money. The Missenden Flyer I'm not so sure.

(equally, we all have different opinions of things)

Re: Solo touring and off road (e.g. tet), small ADV bike suggestions

Himalayan for me. 16,000 on mine this year. A few niggles, nothing catastrophic. Heavier than the CRF and not as good on the trails but a more solid all-rounder to me. Plus the fact that you get a nearly new second hand one with the aluminium panniers for between £3300 and £3500 makes it the bargain...

Put me down for a camping spot if you would. Gonna bring up the big gun.

Otherwise known as a Himalayan.

Re: The Royal Enfield Himalayan ,great value.

I think ACF50 was originally used in aviation so I'm surprised you've not heard of it. It generally wins most corrosion resistance tests and seems to have become popular by word of mouth rather than marketing. It's good stuff, just a bit fiddly to apply.

Re: Honda 450L

I'm in the 'don't get it' camp either. Maybe if we'd received the full power version and maybe if the price had began with a 7 or 8 and not a 9 then it would make good sense. I guess in a way it's a very clever pricing strategy as it's got the bike a lot of attention as well as the mystique of bein...
