I'd love a Heinkel Tourist - they were a popular 'Adventure Bike' in their day. Here's my scoot, a 1965 Lambretta Cento which I use on sunny Sundays to get the paper.

Yeah In reckon he would have done 80mph had live TV not got in the way.... He should have been more prepared - he wasted a valuable run with that Indian and if he'd figured that out before the show he might have had a better shot. The beige one like in my profile pic? That was my old bike - I bought a 161 ktm 1190 ADV there. Only buy an F800 gs if you plan a lot of enduro/trail riding - they are too slow and vibey for a lot of road use. What? I rode my F800GS from Lancashire to Ukraine, it was fantastic. Nice one Franco, keep it shiny side up now! Soak it with ACF50 after every wash to keep it fresh - Yamaha don't do a great job on corrosion resistance from the factory. Handguards and a bash plate to start farkling, followed up with a power commander and a DNA filter then finish it off with hyperpro...

Yesterday was a bloody cold day, I was glad of my heated grips on my way to work. You weren't tempted to trade in your 990 in Overlanders/AMI for a nice new 1290? Great shop that, costs me a fortune every time I stop there...
