Not surprised, I did check my savings account when I saw this posted. What a little beauty.

Re: The Suzuki DR thread.
In 2015 a dealer in Reading imported five new DR650's and five KLR650's, mine was one of them. motorbike180629.jpg I have looked into importing one myself but it's not cost effective and a bit of a ballache. There is a dealer in Salisbury importing some at present but the prices are a bit tasty , t...

Re: crf250 Rally
Hows everyone getting on with the plastics on the 250 and 300 rally after a few drops? My dad might be fancying going the Honda route and just weighing up between the 300 Rally and 300L I dropped mine a lot, on rocks a few time. While the rear was often protect by soft luggage nothing ever broke, c...

Re: Big Al’s Bikeshed is open!
open day this saturday at big al's bike shed ... I think the postcode is SA18 3EZ ... at amanford, S Wales, (bike nav, Paul in bont please confirm?) I just checked out that postcode and realised that every time I pass through South Wales trail riding I always stop at that Tesco for fuel and snacks....

Re: Classic singles and long way round
I once choose to do this on a DR350 in two days: Screenshot 2023-02-06 171556.jpg When I got back I chose to buy and DR650... 30 years old this year and still my favourite bike. You wouldn't choose a 350 for long motorway trips, but for trails and back roads, its a joy. IMG_20210811_095630.jpg

Re: Classic singles and long way round
I've always wanted an XR400R...never had one...but maybe one day... 8-) I have a few bike I think I'd like to own one day, alas the longer I wait the fewer good ones will be left. Except for the DR650 as they still make it. However this is a little steep for my taste... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1...

Re: Classic singles and long way round
Agreed. Like the rest of you I've run a few of these older and newer bikes. I adored my DR350 and my DR 650 but the Honda Rally was so reliable that it was a different class, I took the rally 500miles one day flat out on motorways non stop just stopping for fuel, it didn't miss a beat or use any oil...

Re: Iceland an Scotland lightweight ADV tent
Pack size & weight aren't the most important factors on the bike when wild camping, or where the weather is usually 'challenging'.... free standing in case tent pegs aren't happening & flysheet first if it hasn't stopped raining for 24 hrs are the main considerations. That tent choice could...
