Re: BMW F800 ADV Bits F/S
Twenty five quid for a secondhand fender extender? Is it made of platinum coated unicorn horn? Lol.

Re: Africa Twin or GS800
Look at what I said? I know what I said and having owned a transalp 600, an xt660x an xt660z, a ttr250, a Gasgas ec250 and the F800 I can state with confidence that the BMW corroded faster and more extensively than any of the others when used as a bike should be, washed at the weekend, treated with ...

Re: Africa Twin or GS800
So you bought a bike that has a poorly sealed airbox hmmmm think corrosion is the least of your worries And tbh I'm not surprised your gs was corroded badly after what you just said in an earlier post Are you just trolling? How about 'good luck with the new bike Dave' instead? This is a thread abou...

Re: Africa Twin or GS800
So what you are saying is you expect a bike stay gleaming concourse condition if you don't look after it?? No, I'm saying I want my two year old, less than 10k miles, garage stored bike not to turn into a pile of oxide in front of my eyes like a Chinese scooter would. Bmws shouldn't develop major r...

Yours is lovely, I am however highly allergic to any brightly painted 1800cc version with millions of LEDs.anagallis_arvensis wrote:I'd rather have the Zika virus than own a Goldwing.

Re: Africa Twin or GS800
But seriously if your worrying about Rusty spokes nipples buy a goldwing and ride when it's dry I think you are missing the point, if you need to tighten a spoke and the nipple is seized then it will usually shear and require cutting and replacement. If I sink my bike in mud and then I have to worr...

I asked a dealer and he said they just had new colour schemes for 2016. Be nice to get a fully redesigned lighter more powerful version...

Re: Africa Twin or GS800
Having owned a 2013 800gsa and several modern Hondas I'd say that the BMW is better designed and built but that neither company has put enough effort into preventing corrosion. I've looked over a couple of new ATs and I like the way it is laid out - I haven't ridden one. My gsa had paint lifting on ...

Re: Stupid tyre question
Another vote for Anakee 3's. BMW are fitting them as standard on the GS and I had them on an xt660z and found them great for road use. I'd use them over any of the 80/20 type tyres.
