Re: A great service 10 out of 10

I didn't ask about service costs as the first service on every new bike I've had, has been free.
To be charged nearly £300 for the first service due at six hundred miles and the valves need checking at this mileage is ridiculous...

Re: A great service 10 out of 10

Biggest rip of I ever had was being told after I had took delivery of the bike was the tuonos valves needed checking at the first service at 600 miles.. What a proper rip off that was and £260 I think for the pleasure...

Re: stahlbus-oil drain valves photos on S10

As long as they don't stick below the skidplate I'm sure if the get a hole saw you could fabricate some holes to feed the tubes through... And they are actually less than an inch..

Couple off photos of the valves on the bike, very easy for maintenance with the altrider skidplate as the tubes just pass nicely through the cut-out's...

Re: stahlbus-oil drain valves

I have the altrider skid plate and theres plenty of room with that.
I've not done an oil change yet and I figure it would take longer to drain the oil out, but the convenience of just connecting the hose an letting it drain without the mess more than makes up for that.

£14 a litre the motul oil, good for 5 changes...
And chip fat would make me hungry all the time as I'm sure you'd get a wif out of the exhaust.

Oil is cheap enough to change on a regular basis, and I know it could last at lot longer but I just feel it's the best thing you can do for an engine...

stahlbus-oil drain valves

Changed the engine oil and shaft drive oil today on the S10 using Motel 5100 and Gear 300 respectively. Also while I had the skid plate of I installed a couple of the stahlbus-oil drain valves to make future changes even easier, I like to change the oil every couple of thousand miles as I do believe...
