Re: Which bike?

Hi, I have the BMW 650 Sertao. It weighs around 190 kilo not sure how that compares to the Dakar. I have ridden the bike extensively and it is capable off-road and fun on road - will see in excess of 100mph and is comfortable at high speed even wearing knobblies. It is fairly easy to change the fron...

Re: Which Bike

Hi, if you are new to off-roading I would hesitate before spending your cash. Your commute I would have thought would place a fair emphasis on road comfort and ability - the bikes mentioned are all on the heavy side ie in excess of 200kilo I would guess, and will put you under significant pressure o...

Re: Tomorrow's a sad day.

Right about the locked car. I used our dog mobile a couple of years back and my wife had left her bum bag - on the floor, which I failed to notice. When I got back, the window wash smashed and the bag gone. Bloody pissed that I hadn't noticed it, told the wife when I got home and she split her sides...

Re: Ducati & BMW

Reliability issues aside, surely it's the ride that counts. Give them both a blast.

Re: Getting a bit sick of this.

Just picked up on this thread, luckily I havn't had any serious problems myself. Just a thought, assuming that you have electricity and have put lights up, where you choose to run the wiring, or hang inspection lamps is up to you - should these be in close proximity to where the thieves break in, th...

Re: EDC Morocco, Africa. 2017 On/Off road FREE guided open invite.

Hi Keith Looking forward to the trip and meeting up. My moto went back to the menders again today ( hopefully nothing serious - dodgy speedo/clock) I did a 900 mile round trip 2 weekends back and it ran perfectly - then went out to local shops and clocks stopped working ! If I am in any doubt to rel...

Good luck Bob, I am sure you will have loads of fun with it. We could almost do an ABC CRF 250 meet - Scoob, Cowling , Uncle Buck, Minky, You and I. ??

Re: A review of the CRF250 Rally.

CCM have been coming in for some heavy critisizm - perhaps deserved, but they are willing to sort it given time. I ride both the CRF250l and I put 7000 mls on my first CCM GP450 - very few actual problems, fueling finally sorted with Power Commander. The only thing they have in common I would say is...
