Re: corker wknd in Cork.
Lovely part of the world! Definitely worth doing all the headlands of West Cork and Kerry, from Kinsale to Killarney. Just keep the sea to your left,

Re: Hello!
My adventure continues - today I passed my test! No more will I look at ABR posts about far flung destinations like Scotland, Wales, Europe!, wondering will I ever get there; I now know I can! I can even safely travelling the island of Ireland without fear of the PSNI requesting my details, :-) In f...

Re: F800GS Tax Disk Location
I have placed 'disc' on rear chain guard mounting. Probably get filthy dirty but only has to last a couple of weeks until after test when it will be tucked safely back in pocket or... Like the idea of sticking to underside of seat. Though the law might get a little worried if I dismount bike to pres...

F800GS Tax Disk Location
F800GS owners, where do you put yours? Found a couple of places but none seem ideal.
Dealer (Ireland) suggested not to bother but I have licence test coming up and probbaly best not to rack up on illegal bike.
Many thanks!

Re: Poor policing or poor planning?
How could someone be travelling at 90mph and not know to brake with front brake? The guy shouldn't be on the road never mind doing a safety video.
Also, in all my years driving I have never seen a cop doing a speed check in the rain,

Re: Revenge; a dish best served cold.
Very interesting thread and reinforces my decision to buy first bike from a dealer. Also, the market in Ireland for second hand bikes is tiny compared to UK. If and when I decide to purchase my second bike not sure what to do yet. I have always been wary of private 'motorised' vehicle sales, perhaps...

Re: Who said Germans don't have a sense of humour ?????????
The European Commission has just announced an agreement whereby English will be the official language of the European Union rather than the other possibility, German. As part of the negotiations, the British Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a 5...

Re: Do you ride through winter?
I plan to continue riding but with CAUTION. On a ‘push’ bike I am confident when the bike skids and slides but haven’t got to that level on a bike yet.
Definitely no ice or snow! Perhaps winter 2014/2015.
