Hammock advice

Well after many years of trying we are finally the proud owners of a nice broadleaf woodland in the peak district. I intend to camp there occasionally initially with a tarp and hammock set up. As I am new to this I have started looking at the DD hammock options but just wondered what others were usi...

Re: EU. In or out?

What really puzzles me at the moment is how the pro-brexit tory MP's who insist on the need to "respect" the vote are at the same time plotting on over turning their own vote to keep the prime minister. Not quite sure but I suspect double standards are at play. It's almost like they've cha...

Hi from just over the border in North Derbyshire. You're right about being close to good roads.

Re: 2019 CB500X Let the Farkles commence

watch the bottom of the pannier and the exhaust outlet when loaded--I stuck some woven asbestos type cladding to the base of my Lomo bag as it could get quite warm--especially on a motorway blast. I ran the bike up to temp and left it running at standstill to check and they were only slightly like ...

Re: 2019 CB500X Let the Farkles commence

Very true about number plate pics...same bike but your number or car even... ...those panniers look a tad too big and too far back fir my liking...underrated bike though Yeah I would of liked them further forward but the rack really dictates their position. The only saving grace is that they ...

Well more farkles done today. I have fitted Givi racks and managed to get the Magadan panniers to fit. As the racks were for a 2013 on bike they took a small amount of modifying but the end result is quite good.

Re: EU. In or out?

What worries me the most is that a large number of small business owners we talk to share much the same story as ours. I fear we are the first of many in our local area rather than an isolated case. I have never hoped to be wrong as much as I currently do over this situation but I fear the worst. Th...

Re: EU. In or out?

I'll start by saying I voted to remain and I'd be very happy if this whole thing was cancelled and swept under a carpet somewhere, but I'm at the point of being sick of the whole thing. As a business that supplies services mainly to other businesses (signage) I've seen a very real drop in turnover ...
