I think you missed my point.........if you secure with a ram fixing, it is only a thumb screw type fixing and if the mount and sat nav would easily be removed. The Touratech mount is expensive but so is the Montana. The TT mount keeps it secure and on the odd occasion when you may leave it in the m...

This is a hydroloc on my KTM 400. If yours is hydrolocked, I doubt it would turn over.

sorry if this has been covered but when you buy a Montana does it come with the recharge cradle that fits to the bars? is it lockable? (ive never owned a Sat nav...can you tell? ;) ) No, the Garmin cradle is extra - about £45 from memory. High quality item though. The unit can be "locked"...
