Re: Heated Gloves Advice Please
I used a pair of Gerbing Signature gloves for years for winter commuting. The newer models are supposed to be better in terms of the spread of heat (as the filaments are smaller and more dispersed). I must admit, whilst they're good winter gloves in their own right, once I got a bike with heated gri...

Re: Jetboil Stoves, should I shouldn't I ?
I have one, love it. Great for boiling water. You can cook on them, but doing so without burning it is an art form. Taking separate cookware to over come this problem completely negates the small and light "point" of the jetboil.

Re: Enduro headlight and mot?
At the opposite end of the spectrum, has anyone been pulled for an 8" diameter Rally light with HID? Ran some 55w HID for almost 4 years on my GS and no snags, but I think this (Cyclops motorsport) light I have my eye on is pushing my luck even more.

Here's my effort from last year. Technically, this is legal. Never mind your knee, You've not lived till you've gotten your tree down.

Re: Whats the single best farkle you have
Kriega luggage. Whatever bit I happen to be using. Romps over everything else and lasts forever. Portable between bikes too; it's not like buying a bashplate that you need to "rebuy" for each new bike.

Re: Stella Aplina Rally
I have fancied it the past 3 years and never quite managed to pull it off. I would really like to do it next year; make a week or so's trip of it, ideally cross from Portsmouth to Caen or Le Havre and travel down through France via the "scenic route" and take some trails in en route, rathe...

Re: A wake up call for lost bank cards overseas.
In addition, I stashed away around $600 US in 20s in various places on the bike (wrapped in plastic bags). Larger bills would be harder to break in an emergency, and some places won't take the big bills anyway due to fear of forgeries. There are loads of possible places you can get at relatively ea...

Re: Scotland voted one of the best places to visit in the world
I used to work up in Scotland a lot and usually rode up to there from South Wales. I really like it; Edinburgh is probably my favorite capital city (I'm not really into city living) and Glasgow is great too. The more remote areas are spectacular and some of the road riding up there is to die for.

Re: Tent club! The first rule of tent club is no one speaks of tent club!
I think my Vango Spectre 300 has gotten the best "average cost per nights stay" ROI of any tent I've bought, apart from perhaps an old 2 man Eurohike thing. Must be down to £1 a night for staying in that thing! The tent I use most these days is a Kifaru 6 man Tipi. I bought it solely with ...
