Re: funny wear on tkc 80 front wheel after 12k miles
It's not bullshit. My Mitas 07's were fitted in Exeter for this trip and have now done 5,500 miles in Southern Africa in about six weeks. I've posted pics from South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana, Namibia etc and we're back in SA now and the tyres still have probably a couple of thousand miles...

Re: Where is the best place for helmets?
Try J&S. They used to be pretty shite (low end stuff) but recently have really sorted themselves out and have a huge range of helmets to try on, as well as all manner of other clothing, accessories and biking gubins. Have a look at the link for your nearest store (thumbs) https://www.jsaccessori...

Re: funny wear on tkc 80 front wheel after 12k miles
Knobblies do wear into wedges when ridden on road as the breaking (front wheel) and acceleration (rear wheel) will change the shape of the tread as it is protruding from the carcass of the tyre.
You've done well getting 12k, very well so i wouldn't be too disappointed.
