Re: 20,000 km's on a CCM GP450
Looking at the chap's pictures I get the impression he considered the bike something of a mule, much like you would a DRZ400 or KLR650, hanging luggage off the front brace and overloading the rear. I'm not saying the CCM is delicate, but it's clearly designed to be light and agile, and sometimes you...

Re: A review of the CRF250 Rally.
Hey Minky. Yeah I'm joining you in July for the trip into Bulgaria. Taking the Terra TR650. Should be a good trip. And yeah, fond memories of that day on the lanes, flat out on the road sections and easy does it on the trails. The Rallye does look an interesting proposition. It is a shame they haven...

Re: A review of the CRF250 Rally.
Just to answer the press question. I've been trying to get hold of one to do something for one of the mags and Honda still doesn't have any on fleet, and won't for a few weeks at least. They've not had a launch event either, hence why you haven't seen it any of the mags. The mags, on the whole, are ...

Re: Is there such a thing as a perfect adventure tyre
Wilds perfectly fine on tarmac. Hard to tell difference between them and tkc80s in the corners. Very stable at high speeds, or so I've found. Got over 5000 to a rear on my lc 1200 GS so happy with wear rates.

Re: Yawn Here we go again Tyres ??? for my GS
Another one for Anakee Wilds. Noisy on the road but best off road grip I've found in a tyre on a 1200 GS. Wear rate is also good for a 'knobbly'. About to replace my rear at 5000 miles. Half that for a TKC80, though the Contis are a bit more refined on road. Quite happy with Heidenau K60s on a small...

Re: Be prepared!
Thanks Steve. Yeah Ewan and Charlie do get a bad rap. For what it's worth Charlie goes out of his way to help and promote (by means of tweeting/facebook etc) the small fry like me and some of the others. And he is a proper biker. He still had the cage on around the leg he broke in Portugal, then fel...

Re: Be prepared!
Just chipping in as someone who did a big trip with no prep and poor mechanical knowledge (and who wrote a book declaring such ineptitude) then my perspective is that you can't plan or be prepared for everything and sometimes people get bogged down in worrying about what they think they need to kno...
