Re: Morocco in August and mid life crisis
Not too sure  no SAT NAV ( for Morocco) and couldn't be bothered to get the maps out most days. Just sort of head in the rough direction we wanted to go, have a compass on the bike. The road signs are in at least two languages so easy to follow. Did get lost down dead ends a lot  We ...

Re: Morocco in August and mid life crisis
Well done you for having a great time in August and coping with the heat. Previously I have just soaked my buff in water and put it round my neck, do you think these neck tie things are a lot better ? Soaking your neck tie is a great idea but I found anywhere above 30 degrees C and its dry in 10 mi...

Re: Re: Morocco in August and mid life crisis
What are the gel neck tie things you mentioned? I'm off somewhere hot soon so they might be just what I need. The Neck ties which have gel in and you soak in water were a god send, Fantastic who ever mentioned them. (thumbs) The Camelbak was useful to. Well I survived! Due to a non...

Being tempted by a 2010 R1200GS twin cam, fully loaded with all the extras, low(ish) mileage, :) Most of my use is commuting (across the Yorkshire Dales), with bits of touring as well (no off road) So how about some real world advice about these bikes from those that have owned them ... Issues ... ...

Re: Motorcycle Tarp - Show us yours erected
Why do people put the tarp over the tent? Isn't the tent waterproof? The point of a tarp to me is to give you a much bigger covered area to sit, cook and eat under. Depends on the space available. If you have a small space or will get charged extra for putting it up next to your tent (even if you a...
