Re: Noraly
My favourite is when she was was in Iran, quite an eye opener how friendly (and curious) everyone was. This was probably helped by being Dutch.

Re: Recommend me a weekend away
It depends whether you want to stay in a town or out in the sticks and whereabouts you live. If you want to stay in a town with good roads not far Harrogate is great. We got a good deal a the White Hart hotel and the Blues Bar down the road is great. Shrewsbury is also a nice town with lots of good...

Re: Cheap chain oilers
I always oil my chain after a ride when it's warm. The theory is that when it cools down it will suck the oil into the gaps. Reminds me of a tip from pre O-ring days when chain lubrication was putting the chain into a pan of grease that had to be heated up so that the grease ran into the chain roll...

Re: crf250 Rally
thanks for the copious responses .. both are appreciated, lol. :D today i got the answer from a guy in canada on fb ... looks like the 2017 onward Rally is ok to do the hole drill thing to the lower shock bracket. Seems like the ratios are a bit different and every 5mm shortened will give nearly an...

Re: Aluminium Alloy Repair?
Do you have the broken off piece?
Could you get a jubilee clip around it, if so then chemical metal and the clip might be strong enough. Won't be pretty!
As an afterthought if a jubilee clip will go around then put one on the other cylinder to give the fitting some reinforcement.

Re: Go Big and Ride Small
On the rare occasions I find time to go out on a pushbike around the local lanes, I'm amazed by how much I SEE. More than I do on foot or from a motorised vehicle. That’s one of the reasons I enjoy using my bike in the winter. I get to see things that are usually hidden behind the leaves. 4EB1A2A2-...
