Everyone has a different reaction. My advice, keep taking them, your body eventually gets used to it. In the meantime they're keeping you alive.

Regarding down mats (and sleeping bags for that matter) don't store them in their compression sacks. Store hanging up or loose in a pillowcase.

Had heated grips on bikes used commuting summer and winter. My last big bike was a FJR1300 bought new without bothering with heated grips. As said previously all they do is warm the inside of your hands, not the outside cold bit. Another problem with heated grips is they reverse the effect of Gorete...
