Re: KTM 390 Adventure thread. Reviews mods etc

Not sure if it's of interest but I've got one on the fleet down here in North Devon to ride alongside some of the other small adv bikes... https://www.nathanmillward.com/north-devon-motorcycle-experiences Universally people seem to be struggling with the 390 off road. It's just too cramped. You're g...

Re: V85tt

Yeah they are a bit but I'm not sure I'd call the V85TT agricultural or crude like it was earlier in the comments.

To me it's a modern and well executed bike. Good brakes, suspension and nice simple controls. It just lacks a bit of oomph in this category that's all.

Re: V85tt

I own one - I rode it back to back recently with a Tiger 900, Vstrom 1050 and Multistrada 950 and given the choice of that lot I still I'd keep the Guzzi, but they're not going to be for everyone. That's an interesting opinion nathanm. Would you care to expand on that please? It seems that the rest...

Re: V85tt

I own one but have only managed 1500 miles this year due to Covid. I was supposed to do a coast to coast USA trip this summer on it which I think it would have been perfect for. It's a nice manageable bike. Handles well - surefooted - good all day comfort, plenty of grunt off the bottom, it just fee...

Re: Benelli trk 800 ...

I've ridden (but not owned) a 502X a fair few times and I genuinely think they're as good as the CB500X to ride, and better in some ways. (equipment, wind protection etc). The obvious sticking point is parts availability and all the rest that comes with a 'new' brand, but I'm a member of the owner's...

Re: The Royal Enfield Himalayan ,great value.

Ii've done a couple of John o'Groats to North Devon in a day rides - about 700 miles or so - on the Himalayan and I don't personally find it too bad. It'll easily sit at 65-70mph and pretty relaxing at that pace so I find you can easy do the hours. The screen can give you a bit of buffeting but you ...

This is my route for the 'Garbage Run'. Doesn't touch a motorway.

I think they're all being recorded and will be available online for a short while after if you missed any.

Re: Chinese bikes?

I've been riding the Benelli TRK502 X recently and it's a cracking bike. Okay, it's technically Italian designed but it's completely Chinese made. The problem the Chinese have is that they all hide behind the names given to them by western importers. To me they need to start building their own brand...

Re: Middleweight shaft drive bikes ?

I'm just waiting to take delivery of my V85TT and a large reason for picking it over the others was because of shaft drive. On the longer trips it's just nice not to have to carry the chain lube. It's been interesting to watch the Guzzi being launched and reviewed by the press. Very few even make me...
