Re: Logo design

Post some details on here - and I'll give it a go. Like you say, there are a few graphic designer types on here - even seen some good amateur work. Thanks, it is a commercial venture so I want to keep it under wraps under it's all ready to go. I'm expecting to pay the going rate for the work, just ...

Logo design

Seem to remember that there were a few graphic designers on the forum (from the 'how do you earn a crust' thread)

I need a logo for a bike related project which I'd want to use on a website, tee-shirts and stickers - anyone able to help?

Re: Bike advice for Africa trip

F800GS is a good bike but don't know how popular or well supported it is in SA. The other possibility is an older airhead GS (80 or 100)

Re: 1st dual sport bike what tyres?

Two sets of wheels changes things quite a bit. You could then have a more agressive off road tyres on one set but as you say you'd probably want to change the gearing to make the most of them. TKCs are a compromise but as Dash says you don't have to plan anything - maybe just drop the pressures a bi...

Re: 1st dual sport bike what tyres?

A good compromise would be TKC80s although not up to much deep mud. Perhaps a K60 rear to get better mileage. Adjust tyre pressures to suit the riding

Re: The exodus to ADV bikes

I know the rules are tighter and more heavily enforced these days but it seems to me that to get any benefit from a sports bike you are always going to be in the illegal zone. You also need good knees, a good back, most of us aren't skinny enough to look like Valentino Rossi, you can't really carry ...

Re: Tyre presures

On the OE tyres, I wouldn't bother dropping the pressures. On gravel you're not going to gain anything from doing so and if you take it on wet mud you'll get stuck anyway regardless of the pressure. I don't know what the OE tyres are but if they're of the Tourance or Anakee type of thing then I agr...

Re: Tyre presures

Road orientated 'trail' tyres including MT21s and TKC 80s have a relatively stiff sidewall and as a result reducing the tyre pressure has a limited affect. With TKCs, for example, traction/grip improves down to about 1 bar (15psi) but after that you probably won't notice any improvement but risk pun...
