Recommend me a multi-bike insurer...

Hello all I assume there'll be a fair few of you that will produce some light-hearted stories of insurers that couldn't be less bothered by your incident/accident or the remuneration you fully expected  But any and all advice is welcome as I'm completely new to this UK insurance lark....

Re: Balkans travel advice, hints, tips, etc.

Simon costs for food/accommodation are cheap but one thing that does mount up if you are visiting all of the Balkan countries is insurance. Particularly Macedonia at 55 euros/Bosnia 40 euros. The rest are cheaper but it is something to consider. Arriving at some borders on a Sunday can be a problem...

Re: Slovenia and Croatia - Campsites

If not already mentioned I'd recommend Kamp Vrhpolje (Vrhpolje 42, 5271 Vipava, Slovenia) Lovely little site in a very small village (with the quietest bar I've ever known on a Saturday night), if that's the sort of thing you're after. Plus the owners (as do lots of people round there) make their ow...

Re: Anyone Stopped in Any of These?

Stayed in the Pitlochry hostel a few years back, would recommend.

Decent enough place, good showers, etc. Friendly vibe in the common room. Handy car park round the back although no access from the hostel.

Re: First Trip to Ireland - recommendations appreciated

Moorso - Bit of both really. I have a sat nav that I use mainly to keep track of where I am and to have a nose about to see if there are any interesting looking roads nearby. Use paper maps mainly through the day/night before to plan my routes though - wouldn't feel right not having a well creased m...

Re: First Trip to Ireland - recommendations appreciated

I'll be over for 7 nights/6 days so will probably be aiming to cover a similar distance to your route I'd hazard. (thumbs) Someone at work suggested going as far up the West Coast as Sligo. Of course it'll all depend on how slowly I cover the distance - don't really want to find myself needing to bl...
