Re: Morocco--Green Card Insurance

(you still need to have the insurance though, if you don't you risk imprisonment, and I'm not over dramatising)
I think they checked that you had insurance before letting you out of the docks. I certainly had to have all the required papers before they stamped my exit docs, which would have ...

That's good.
For those who don't know ADAC is (Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobil-Club e.V.)

Good idea for a Morocco "reference" thread. There is loads on the forum it needs pulling together.

Re: Morocco--Green Card Insurance

I had to buy it there Peejay. 2 years ago so worth searching.
Not having any proper insurance or breakdown cover really concentrated my mind.

Re: Whats the worst thing you've ever seen in your mirrors??

Seeing my brand new bike (0miles on the clock) fall off the trailer while transporting it home. Glad your missus is OK mate. :) That SO NEARLY happened to me. 20 yards from the dealer with brand-new bike, I saw in the mirror, the bike on the trailer lying at a horrible angle. 1 of the 4 tie-...

Re: O dear It has started
Fraid so, for me at any rate. 2 reasons. 1.Main reason. I keep my bikes for years and don't want them dissolving in corrosion. 2. My old bones don't like the col...

Re: Whats the worst thing you've ever seen in your mirrors??

That's great!!! In answer to your question. An old friend of mine, (this is many years ago as are all my stories) He had spent YEARS re-building a priceless Vintage Aston Martin, the very first one. He was trailering it to (I think) Silverstone to an Aston Martin Owners Club meeting to introduce it ...

Re: ENGINE OIL...????

Costco. "New Life" fully synthetic. MOBIL 1. 0-40 GRADE. Way cheaper than bike MOBIL 1. It's worked fine for me for 2 oil-changes. Just about to put the 3rd in. Versys 650. The oil comes out looking so clean compared with semi-synth that I leave it the full service miles whereas I always c...

Re: I Don’t Want More Women Bikers.

It has raised some great questions also - what do you do if you run out of tampons? Can bears smell blood? You know that question is asked a lot by ladies, especially in context of Russia or Canada... :) When I rode into Grizzly bear forests in northern USA the huge graphic "scare you to death...

Re: I Don’t Want More Women Bikers.

Damn good post that James 691. Real food for thought. I have know only a few female bikers in my long biking life but they have all been "pretty to very" memorable for one reason or another. I will never forget Katrina Price on her little enduro bike in a very gnarly and wet Welsh 2-day En...
