Re: Adventure bike options?
I rode a 660z for some years, trailriding, European trips too. I loved it. Switched to a 250 rally and carried on doing the same with the same group of guys and variety of bikes. The rally is a far better all round bike for my money. It doesn't sound like you're keen to go small though............ S...

Re: The next step....
Plus one for EMBN. I've got the e bike bug. I'm having a spell without a trail bike but i still need something to get out on and have some "man time" [emoji16] As previously mentioned it doesn't half open up a lot of countryside that's not accessible (legally) on a trailbike. Photo isn't p...

Re: Gas Gas
I bought an 05 gasser new, the ohlins and marzocchi version same as crossrutted. Nissin brakes. I raced the hell out of it for two years and had 0 problems of any kind at all. Best bike I've ever owned.
Aah the good old days [emoji4]

Re: Fantic CASA 250??
Spoke to a guy outside my local supermarket at the weekend on one, he was having a day out with his mate on the trails. Reckoned it was ok, not particularly light for what it is (he said) and he'd had to mess about with it a bit to get it trail ready. Nice to see summit different out and about. Sent...

Re: If Only Suzuki Would....?
id take the drz over the dr350 ...if they swapped gearboxes :!: that was the drzs real downfall for me its a pity there no longer in production and good ones are becoming rarer if they were newer and less boshed about id bite the bullet stick a nova gearbox in one to address its major drawback as a...

Re: If Only Suzuki Would....?
It was a beaten up old DR350 that got me into greenlaning after years of sports bikes and race-bikes. Knowing no better, I just thought that all dirt bikes must be vague-steering and fairly unpleasant to ride. Then I flogged it for what I had paid out a year later and bought a DRZ400E. Much much be...

Re: TET in Northern or Central France
We did the tet last year from Orleans right down to the south. Based on experience of others we missed the northern section out, it's often said its very flat, field boundaries that kind of thing. From Orleans it just got better and better. For reference, we rode 8 days straight not veering from the...
