Re: Old chestnut, new crop - Bike Insurance renewal gone up £116, 50% on last year!

My european cover is for up to 90 days in any one trip which I need as one of the bikes lives in France with me from July to September. Can be even longer but as it is trailered there they don't know when it came over.

No changes since last year though reached 70 last year in July but that didn't affect last years premium as far as I could tell as the rise was £30 from previous year...

Saved me a fortune
About cooled down I'll try that. I also have my other bike with Bennetts and that is due soon so may have a bit more bargaining power. ;)

Re: Which Boots - Under £100?

You folk are a bad influence as I ended up choosing function over aesthetics  Have ordered a pair of the extremes in 7s, I will post what I think of them when tried & tested. Thanks to everyone for the recommendations - much appreciated (thumbs) (thumbs) Just too late for you but I've ju...

Re: How old are we. Poll.

Took 'early retirement' as I called it (Voluntary redundancy as they called it) at 50 with full pension. Passed the 70 barrier last year. Been riding seriously for last 3-4 years as didn't get first bike 'til 60. Lot of years to make up :woohoo: (thumbs). Oh and where is category for kids come back ...

Re: Tough decision time

Been 4 years since I made a similar decision with our Border Collie who was almost 15yrs. She was suffering from arthritis in her rear legs and pancreatitis. She never complained and in the end I probably waited at least a month too long just increasing her suffering though I did everything I could ...

Re: ABR man down

Paul had a ten hour operation to fix many things. There seems to be no head injury involved as far as can be told. His condition is stable at the moment. Fingers crossed. :( Not been on here for awhile and shocked and saddened to hear of Paul's accident and death of his colleague. Thanks for the up...
