Re: RAC beware

Unfortunately they won't help - I'm obviously not condoning this..... but remove the chain, put it in your bag & say it snapped & flew off somewhere into the bushes covers the need for recovery They’ll potentially decide to take the bike to the nearest bike mechanic and get you to pay for t...

Re: Zaragoza hotel with parking

It’s several years ago I was there, but the hotel Sauce is my recommendation. Located around the corner from the basilica, and the hotel has a private key coded underground garage across the street from the hotel door, (the red gates on streetview), beware as it’s underground it has rather steep ram...

Britannia Rescue = LV cover any age of bike. Quick update Brittania/LV have quoted me £142 for uk and European cover for 1 vehicle. I’m currently with green flag for the car with their personal cover which covers me for any vehicle up to 15 years old, which means that from may the bike isn’t going ...

Re: Breakdown cover for older motorcycles

+1 for Carole Nash (not sure if you can buy the breakdown cover from them separate to the insurance cover, but as has been said their insurance policies include it). I had a bad experience with CN several years ago when I was stranded in the French alps and CN’s agent (the AA) refused to recover th...

It’s currently tagged on my green flag policy that I have for the car, but come 1st May it will no longer be cove...

Re: I used to work in Distribution for an Oil Company

And there you are...it's work that requires additional qualifications, there's more hazard and responsibility, and no more money in it than running tins of beans from the factory to an RDC. Hoyer have cut everything possible, treating the drivers horrendously and that is why they`re leaving the ref...

Re: I used to work in Distribution for an Oil Company

You need ADR as well as your LGV licence to drive a fuel tanker You also need a Petroleum drivers passport to load fuel tankers at the refineries and to discharge them at the point of sale. Without it and even with an ADR you can’t load fuel. Btw I’ve done the full adr training course twice 7 class...
