Re: New Bike, New Adventure !

Howdy, where about in Scotland are you ? Tours a plenty on your doorstep, many of which you will likely be familiar with. I’d recommend the borders around Langholm, accessible from Moffat on the west or from Hawick on the east, similarly out by the Gairloch on the west, take in Applecross, Strathcar...

Re: Isle of Man TT Practice week

As i understand it, if you’re inside the course you can freely move around on the green lanes. If on the inside then of course you are limited to a couple of roads, and can’t leave until roads open. If spectate on outside then you can move around the entire circuit, with exception of inability to p...

Re: Isle of Man TT Practice week

Last year was my 4th TT, and having experienced a range of accommodation over the years, the pre-pitched tents we hired from 4everTT at Colby FC were fantastic. Clean, comfortable, hot buffet breakfast, and full use of clubhouse for showers, toilets etc was excellent. So much so that we have booked ...

Re: Help find an alternative to my Gixer!

Hi Paul, love my K4 Gixxer thou, always wanted a Gixxer, and after getting it new in 2004 I was not disappointed. It’s a great bike, I’ve looked after it from new, and OK, it may be a bit of a garage queen, but has taken me to Ireland and IOM many times to watch the road racing. It’s a great bike an...

Re: Starting over ADV Biker

Welcome back. 7yrs is only a tea break.

Love my ‘12 GSA, It sees me over to Ireland annually for NW200, UGP, and mini tours alike.

Great forum this, stories of local and international tours, and all manner of bikes

Enjoy

Re: Boots for big feet

I’m a 12, have had my TCX Infinity Gore tex for 6 years, love them, all day comfort on and off the bike, and 100% waterproof as you would expect. I read a few forum discussions and wasn’t disappointed in my choice.

Knockhill, for sure, no Croft unfortunately this year, all things being well, perhaps a road trip to Assen

But definitely NW200, IOM TT, and UGP, - love the road racing
