As a fairly recent convert to trials I can confirm its bloody hard, lot harder than it looks, rider makes more difference than the bike but its the cheapest motorsport you can do. My bike cost £600, gear was probs about £100, licence £10.00, club joining fee £5.00, £...

Re: wood burners

Re the liner - In our experience its generally better to install a liner (its a recomendation by building regs, Hetas and the manufacturers) as most chimneys were designed for open fires where the flue gases are a lot hotter and the chimeny is too big for a stove really. What we find (but not on all...

Re: wood burners

Not sure who said it earlier about not using "stove shops" but if you don't buy from a registered dealer i.e. the net, you generally won't get any warranty and the manufacturers will just refer you back to the place you bought it from if you have a problem, so beware of this. Also I don't ...

Re: wood burners

Can do seeing as I sell them for a living. Stick to the companies who make stoves as there main business and not the cheap chinese imported rubbish, a good stove will last 30 yrs plus. A really good stove, but not that well known, is Woodwarm, made down in Devon and a really good piece of kit, not t...
