Re: Camping disaster
I have used my DD hammock for nearly ten years and it is still going strong. My camping kit is pared down to the minimum and can fit in two bergen sidepouches on the rack of my bike. The cooking gear and water etc go in the panniers and even if you decide to stay in a hotel it doesn,t weigh the bike ...

Re: Camping disaster
I agree,a hammock is so versatile and easy to put up.Use it in conjunction with a tarp and groundsheet to put your gear on. You can hang your headtorch and drinks bottle from the tarp ridgeline etc. I sleep so well in a hammock but remember in cold weather the cold gets you from underneath as your s...

Re: This came in for an Mot today.....Ape
I have just been to Sorrento in Italy and the place was full of these Piaggio Apes. They varied from pick ups with or without tilts, vans and believe it or not Tippers. They are fantastic for local tradesmen to get round all the tight windey back streets but i suspect they would be of limited use ove...
Re: Power!!!
A man after my own heart. I had an MT350,best bike i ever owned and a Honda C90. I have a BMWF800gs for the road and a few gravel tracks but realistically despite what many others have said i will not be going off road with it as the potential for easy and expensive damage, difficulty in picking it u...

Re: KTM 200 or 300 for green laning....????
I loved the idea of the DR350 returning in the form of the Beta Alp 4.0 but unfortunately it gained a lot of weight and some cheap components on the chassis and suspension. Suzuki DR350 and the grey import DR250 s were really great bikes. B)

Re: KTM 200 or 300 for green laning....????
The only two strokes i would consider for road biased but a lot of trail riding is the wonderful Honda CRM 250. I had two of them and they did everything well. I did try the grey import Suzuki RMX and the KDX SR but the Honda was the most rideable. Saying that even the most recent ones are knocking ...
