Re: EU. In or out?

Great post Jak - I totally agree but I think you put 'remainers' when you meant 'leavers'? I wondered about that too ;) Interesting comment about the "51st State". On a day when a dam was about to burst and destroy a village, weather was causing termoil throughout the country, the Prim Mi...

Re: EU. In or out?

Remainers go on about "what we weren't told by the pro-Brexiteers during the referendum" but you never hear mention of what we weren't told by the Remainers. Anybody that thinks we could remain in the EU and everything would carry on without changing is very mistaken. There are plans for e...

Re: A photo you took, today

Up and around Whaley Bridge this morning on my eMTB trying to get a look at the now famous Toddbrook Reservoir - but failed. I don't know the area that well and all the easy routes are shut. All the trails and backroads are like rivers, bogs or are a foot deep in mud and debris. Sure has been rainin...

Re: eBikes next

What you have to remember is lithium batterys have a memory so need discharging then full charge then run down... Continually halfi charges buggers them up... Oooooh not sure that's right :?: The old NiCAD batteries needed a full discharge before you charge them up again. Continually charging them ...

Re: eBikes next

I've done 1400 miles all over the Peak District last year on my eMTB (and another 700 on my pushbike MTB) and love it. You still need to be a bit fit on an eMTB, it's only an assist but once you get used to using the assist to your advantage it makes hell of a difference. I didn't realise how much u...

Re: eBikes next

I think it's fairly clear what's going to happen. The NPA have already got rid of powered vehicles, then... 2020 All electric assisted vehicles (eMTBS etc) will be banned - causing too much noise and damage. 2022 All cycles will be banned - too dangerous for other users and causing damage 2028 Horse...

Re: eBikes next

It's just another attempt to get everybody except walkers off the National Parks. If they are going to ban eMTB's for this reason then they will have to ban all Mountain Bikes. I'm only quicker on my eMTB going uphill bet even then I'm far from 15mph, more like 6 or 7. Everywhere else I'm just as qu...

Re: Decent brands when talking lids, please.

Anyone got any experience of Shark helmets please? I'm considering this one: Shark D-Skwal Dharkov I've tried several Shark helmets and I just could not get one a comfortable fit on my head. Same with Bell helmets. I spent the best part of a day in J&S trying on most of their range of helmets a...
