Re: Triumph Tiger 955i is it the best bargain in adventure biking (or even just biking)
+1 Varadero they (mine) appeared cheaper than Tigers for similar age/miles when I was searching in March. Decided on the Vara as I found it more comfortable (for me) and I tend to be a Honda person anyway, though I have an old (Tina) and modern (Scrambler) Triumph.

Re: Triumph Scrambler - Your Thoughts Please
I have had one from new 2007, carb model, but only done 7000 miles on it, got other bikes. Very enjoyable, I did have the 'real' thing a 500 Adventurer replica but as I had leg trouble I sold it and brought this. Use it mainly for local riding although it will do motorways no problem. I find it fun ...

Re: Solar battery chargers....any good??
I had a Ford SMax 2ltr TDI that I often did not use for a month. The car would not start if battery voltage was below about 12.8 volts, there was some computerised cutoff to the starting system which meant that it generally would not start after a month of inactivity without giving it a charge. I br...

Re: Modern usable classic's
Nice to see the Brit iron out but the RE if a 5 speed were fragile as were the BSA B25, the earlier models were more robust (simpler & less powerful). Bonnie OK and I assume the rotaries were reliable as Police used them. Many late Brits suffered from trying to keep up with Jap power outputs and...

Re: How often do you change the brake/clutch fluid?
My local Ford garage always wants to change the brake fluid ever 2 years on our cars, a nice little earner perhaps. Of course the brake fluid will absorb water over time so it may be justified on H&S grounds but possibly a longer period. I change my bike fluid every 3-4 years if I have not had t...

Re: Anyone used BT45's on a Tenere?
I had BT45 on my Transalp 650 when I brought it, ran it with them for a while, no problems. Changed to Gripsters as I wanted something more suitable for the lanes I ride. Fuel consumption dropped from 60 mpg with the BT45 to 55mpg with the Gripsters, so you should get an improvement going to BT45, u...
