Great little RR, thanks for that. The amazing thing is that you actually managed to get a nod from a GS rider!

Re: Garmin satnav at Aldi
I use our XL size Tom Tom from the car on my bike no probs. it zips into a little water resistant case (mounts on h/bars so protected by the screen anyway) that bolts on. Only cost £10. Works fine with gloves.

Re: DaveDRZ
Just goes to show that however much planning and prep you do, shite happens. Guess that's bike riding, accidents happen. Poor bloke though, he was so into it and loving it. All he needed was a lucky couple of months for a trip of a lifetime. Clearly it was not to be. Hopefully the garage can fix it ...

It'll be beautiful in a car but a 4x4 will get you to more remote places. If you're into camping then check out the camper van and 4wd campers on hire from Britz or Maui etc. they come with everything you'll need and are a brilliant way to explore. Have fun now

Have you heard about Dave's crash. Poor bugger, how utterly disappointing.

Re: Beads or gel
Never tried a beaded cover, seen them and I've got to say IMHO they look pretty naff? I wore my cycling shorts under my draggin jeans for my recent 500 miles through France on the not too comfy Tiger. Definitely helped.
