On news tonight, the Windermere chain (vehicle) ferry will be out of action until october as it needs a new engine and control gear following a fire earlier this year

Me and the wife were out the other evening on our bikes (pedal, that is) and a mountain bike zoomed by.....it was an electric mountain bike (Haibike, I think). He seemed to be putting-in minimal effort for a huge speed - I think his bike's 15mph limiter must somehow have been by-passed. I want one ...

Being an old codger that's not in the best of health, I went to chemist to pick up a prescription ... wasn't ready .. so had to walk around town for a bit :) Poped int the local bike shop (pedal powered) ... Hard week at work :( Bike came out in sympathy and decided it needed a lie down coming out of the office car park :( Car driver that I had to stop for (unfortunately on a steep camber so nothing there when I put my foot down) did help me pick the old girl up :) mot a mark on her either :) :) Before ...
