Re: SWM is back in UK
The boss of Trago points out that they offer 'cheap mobility' to a wide range of customers in predominantly rural areas without some of the 'baggage' that comes with conventional motorcycle dealers. Good move...from my time 'in the trade' I know that an attractively priced offer of bike, basic kit ...

Re: Warning light issue and recovery/warranty bigger issue.
A great decision.
They finally left at 14.20 but it will have to be relayed via a changeover at Chobham Services so probably won’t get there until tomorrow.
I’m not bothered about timing but what a shambles. All this started on Thursday!

Good old AA. 10.30 guide time became 12.30 and is now 13.30.
I have told them BSG close at 15.30.
We shall see what happens…..

Re: What was your first motorcycle trip abroad?
Our honeymoon in 1977 on our 1973 Triumph Bonneville. We had had a few trips around the UK before we got married (no ‘living in sin’ in those days  ) and were going to see our friend’s brother who was in the army in Germany. In the meantime he had bought himself out so we decided to get married...

Re: Warning light issue and recovery/warranty bigger issue.
BSG got onto Husqvarna for advice today and, lo and behold, the AA are picking the bike up tomorrow and taking it to them for investigation…..and my first service.
I guess someone got a rollocking for not doing what they are paid to do and is part of the T&Cs.

Re: Pointless Modifications
I think it depends on the specific bike and, possibly, what had to be achieved to pass noise tests (not necessarily a fact). Also, I guess, what the rider actually wants but I do see where your complaint lies. When I had my KTM 950 SM and latterly, my Triumph T120, both were hampered by appalling ge...

Re: Warning light issue and recovery/warranty bigger issue.
I rang the recovery people again and complained about yesterdays failure to help. A different AA guy came within the hour. No diagnostic adaptor kit but said it was safe to ride and he would email me confirmation. He said the previous guy was wrong not to come out and wrong to refuse to take it to t...

Re: Warning light issue and recovery/warranty bigger issue.
Battery disconnect and reconnect didn’t work.
I’ll wait to hear from the dealer tomorrow and escalate to KTM UK if necessary.

Re: Warning light issue and recovery/warranty bigger issue.
I know nothing about KTMs, but on my car owners group they were plagued with ABS and TC warnings and it became regarded as a sign of pending battery touble as in sub par voltage due to failing battery or alternator fault. On one of my bikes the frequent ABS warnings vanished after I replaced a batt...
