Re: TCK-80's v MT21's

I went to Morocco and back on Conti TKC's. I also went on a set of tourance and there didn't seem that much difference. I have also rode tkc's through two winters on greasy roads. They are not as good as say a tourance on tarmac but they are still pretty good. I wouldn't hesitate to fit them again. ...

Welcome back. New transport looks interesting. Commuting could be a problem though, and I wonder how much luggage will fit in the trunk.

The XC had a beak and the road biased one was without. I think the XC version looked so much better. Maybe the spoke wheels also ...

Re: European Breakdown Cover.

As far as I am aware, no recoveries are allowed on peage toll roads in France. That is because they are privately owned. You have to use the auto route's own recovery to take you off the motorway and then use your own recovery company. I'm not sure whether they charge you for that. I think you have ...

Re: Heated jacket advice

With the ambient temperature around freezing point, the wind chill at 70 mph is around -17 c. This could start the onset of hypothermia. The first you would realise is when extremities start to get cold and then awhile later you have difficulty making rational decisions. At that temperature I would ...

Re: Leatherman - Which One is a best buy on a budget?

The quality of genuine leatherman tools are outstanding. I have have had a wave for a few years now and take it on long tours. As for a torch, invest in a good LED head lamp. If you need to work on anything in the dark you will probably need both hands.
