Re: Which bike for RTW?
I agree--all far to electronic--get a non paralever BM--R80 G/S or ST--there is a reason they are sought after!

Re: Bulgaria and back on a WR250R to join the ABC/BBS crew
next instalment: So I had arrived--great relief--one chain adjustment which I think wasn't really necessary--with a trail bike there is a lot of suspension movement, especially unladen to fully laden--and you need to check it with you and all the gear--not easy on your own! I have no cush drive but ...

Thanks for that--I think it was still "pre Garmin" in that I hadn't spotted the campground route in the Accommodation menue--thing is too clever--requires practice--I went through uni with a slide rule!

Re: Bulgaria and back on a WR250R to join the ABC/BBS crew
As its still raining outside I'm stuck inside for the moment--so will press on: Anyway, after a rather boring few hours staring at scrub hillsides--nothing on the roads! I approached Thessaloniki and thought--"big city, right on the Aegean--there must be a few campsites"--wrong!--the roads...

Re: SAD news Nicky Hayden in serious condition
You would think that the Italians have more respect for cyclists--but they generally drive like idiots--and that area is heavily populated so they are all rushing about.
Sad news indeed--a great racer--with a dodgy Honda at the moment in WSB. Lets hope he fully recovers and gets back to it.

Re: OGNIBENE Silent Sprockets
Typically an OE idea on Hondas etc--and without a cush drive--just gives the chain a softer "landing"--I wouldn't know about it being quieter--best buy an OE?

Re: Crf 230 bits
I recognise some of the bits!--I was a previous owner--great little bike in many ways. I can still do the carbon bashplate and case covers! (plug!!) ps are you sure about the tank--that looks like the larger IMS tank? (I remember having to make up bottom mount "adapters" to get it to sit r...

Re: Bulgaria and back on a WR250R to join the ABC/BBS crew
the next instalment--not sure what day it was--but I was early compared to my prebooked ferry: So packed from the Cervia campsite and pottered down the coast to Ancona. Getting to within 5 kms is ok--but the rest of it is a maze and you need to be on your game--narrow roads , turns, potholes, poor s...

Re: Nanny cam for a garage
My son has tried a wildlife camera--motion sensitive--records in infra red at night, good memory etc--and can also take a series of stills--and will play back through a normal USB. Discretely hidden it may well capture the "offenders". I also use a wireless baby alarm with the receiver by ...
