Re: Are you happy with your Bike(s)?

My Varadero (2009) does me fine for the longer range trips. Though I find it a handful in the corners due to the weight and front end vagueness. The CX500EC (1983) hasn't been out from under the cover in over a year. It's not likely to be for some time as I don't have the time to finish it and the g...

Re: Coleman Camping Stoves Information

I've tried a few gas and multi fuel stoves over the years. The best stove I've used is my now well used Coleman Sportster 533. Runs preferably with Coleman's fuel but unleaded can be used but every couple of tank fills you will need to run the Coleman's stuff. Unleaded tends to clock the generator t...

Re: Kawasaki super sherpa

You need to look for the micro fiches for the exact bike you have. They should list the part you need then order said part.

Re: Heated grips

I've got the basic oxford commuter ones on my 04 TTR.

Looking at the stator output I opted to go for the basic ones and turn them off.

I wouldn't go for grips drawing more than 3amps or on the TTR you will be using the 'start yer bastard handle!"

Re: Advice choosing my first adventure oriented bike

The transalp 600 is an old bike. If it goes wrong you will struggle to get parts. The V-strom will have far less trouble if something breaks. That's coming from someone who works in a Honda and Suzuki Dealer on the parts desk. But the honda was a solid bike... but was built a long time ago. Sent fro...

Re: Off-road panniers wanted please

Kreiga are now doing something they call the OS-Base.
Made for enduro/dual sport bikes to mount Kreiga US or OS bags, but with the correct straps most bags like cheap roll bags can be mounted.
