Hi, I have a *NEW* Honda Varadero XL1000 (years 99-02) Headlight protector - which is basically a shaped piece of toughened perspex which fits over the headlight and protects it from stone chips.
Any interest before Ebay gets another auction?

Ive never ridden a Storm so I wonder how it compares with the Varadero - but I have seen ones which look real nice. I did consider one before opting for the Varadero but since it didnt come with a bellypan I considered the look not finished enough. I know you can get aftermarket ones but didnt want ...

Re: What preparation for a BIG tour do you do ...?
I havent done a true ADV trip as yet - most of mine has either been endurance/longdistance stuff or general touring, but I would tackle any type of trip in the same way - and I subscribe to the PPPPPPP approach totally. I tend to plan routes as much as possible and ensure that I have said routes in ...

No, not really. I live in a tent behind a cargo container which I use as my garage. By not having a house/mortgage I can afford to (a) buy the bikes (b) insure the bikes and (c) fuel the bikes :) The paintwork are a combination of real flames and skulls... ou might be able to make it out in this pic...

Re: what mini compessor ?
i have one of the "cheap" air compressors off of ebay, however after clocking the screwfix one I nipped out today and bought one. A tidy bit of kit and just right for a topbox/pannier/tankbag. Lets hope I never need to use it.
