I would try to get at the plug/cap with silicon spray ...... it always worked well on the original mini where the distributor and leads were very exposed to water. If it works you could carry a can with you.

A few years ago I had a Mk1 Versys (2007 bike) that I was trying to make into a unicorn bike for adventure type stuff and read up on ADV rider about fitting the R1 rear shock along with adding preload to the forks plus modifying the valving. It turned out to be ok but found the R1 shock wasn't much ...

I traded it yesterday and since I'm in Netherlands that would more likely have been someone else. But talking about the Birmingham neighbourhood. My biggest concern at the moment is the ABR festival 2024. I already have a ticket. Should I try to use the DS, or purchase petrol bike for the trip? Sup...

A couple we know from Italy have toured a lot of Brazil (his country of birth) on a Vstrom 250 aswell as an XT250, always 2up plus luggage and without any problems (apart from Covid).
