I'm going to make some mounts and try it out, I have soft luggage too but don't like it side mounted. It will keep me occupied today, too fekkin miserable outside to do anything.

The configuration is the same as the Varadero, Bars are 90cm on both, racks are are 60cm on both. Maybe with the varadero being fekkin huge in its own right it felt OK. Offered the boxes up to the Africa Twin and the panniers just look huge. on both bikes the boxes are 10 cm wider than the bars I've...

At what point would you say panniers are too wide. Had racks made up for the RD04, great workmanship, but, they are 60cm wide. My panniers are big but not that wide, 25cm each, which would then give me an arse like Doris at 110cm. I'll not be doing any filtering with them on so I'm not bothered abou...
