Re: Who services their own bikes?

I don't know, please tell us the answers The questions were rhetorical. At the end of the day, if you want to pay someone to service your bike or do it yourself, it is your choice and others shouldn't look down on or up to you for it. I can design a house to comply with current building regulations...

Re: The Perfect Line Up

I always thought that I needed multiple bikes for the touring, fun and commuting roles... and then Triumph launched the Tiger 800XC! :woohoo: However need and want are different animals. The 3 bikes I want are: 1. Tiger 800XC for touring, commuting and having fun (sitting in the shed now!) 2. BSA M2...

Re: Z1000SX

That's a really nice bike and I expect Kawasaki to sell bucket loads this year.

After the sports bikes and scooters, I would expect the Tiger 800 and the Z1000SX to be at the top of the sales charts this year. B)

Re: Another 800XC on the Road

You should call them and explain that as you can no longer ride the bike as its reached its service deadline, you would like to drop it off to them. So they can service it when they get the time, they will probably service it sooner because its at there leasure and in there way. ;) There book says ...

Scary Movie

For all of us on this forum, we depend on petroleum products for everything in our lives, especially our main pass-time/enjoyment/reason for living, i.e. riding motorcycles. If you wan to be really scared, watch the film that I have just rented: A Crude Awakening: The Oil Crash . This film was made ...

Re: Another 800XC on the Road

I suppose it serves me right... in a way. Many people in these parts have had doubts about Lings - one friend was refused a test ride on their 955 Daytona demo bike: her boyfriend called later that day and was told that the demo was available... :S She eventually took her cash somewhere tha...

Re: Another 800XC on the Road

Regarding the money I wonder if they don't view the sale as £8000, but as £1000 or whatever their cut is on the order? Agreed. However, it is still £1,000 (or whatever) for doing bugger all besides a few mouse clicks, listening to another boring punter and getting them to sign a bit of paper... :hu...

Re: Another 800XC on the Road

Sorry to go on about this... but it has really got to me. Am I just old fashioned, or has customer service left the country along with all the manufacturing and call centre jobs? When I was at the launch of the Tiger 800 a couple of months ago, the shop manager and I were chatting about when he was ...

Re: Another 800XC on the Road

Playing devils advocate, how would you feel if you were a customer of theirs put off because they said that they would prefer to service new bikes? It seems to me that they are on a hiding to nothing, if they are booked up someone is going to have to wait, it might be argued that the service should...
