I can't do October thinking we can just about squeeze the last two weeks of May which is an average temperature of 24 according to the web.
I'd plan on camping mostly apart from a couple of the big towns we want to see. (Using campsites).

I'm very very undecided on what to do and how to do it! I'm jubious of heat..above about 22 degrees I get frustrated and burnt and feel we should be doing this early April! (Maybe next year). I had a set of TT panniers on my 1150 GSA and love bed them. Everyone moans about them but at £400 Ish second hand I paid, they performed perfectly. I wouldn't hesitate to get another set. I've also used worldbeaters for a while, the quality is great but the lack of quick release system was rubbish....

I think ultimately the bars offer more protection...but they are such a pain installing after maintenance especially once bent I think these are a bood compromise.
