Re: what have you done to your bike today??
Well, ok, not today but a couple of days ago when the weather was kind.... picked up our s/car rig from Watsonian. The Ural chair has been fitted to a new tug, namely my lovely CRF1000L, which replaces the original XRV750. The 200 mile ride home was most enjoyable, with good handling and a very plan...

Re: A photo you took, today
Saw this XLCR in a HD dealer in Roquebrune (near Cannes). The best HD ever, IMO. I want one

Re: 20 MPH default speed limit in Wales
Can't see a problem with the 20 limits in urban areas and villages. If you live somewhere with this limit, and you live near the street, it makes life more pleasant and quieter. If you're driving, you'll get to your destination marginally later, but if a child/adult/dog etc. runs into your path - or...

Re: Looking for a new bike, but what to go for???
XJR1300. Seconded.... there is a new one still for sale at Padgetts of Batley. Minimal electronic nonsense, no pretending to be an intrepid adventurer - just a proper motorcycle that looks like a motorcycle should, which can tour very comfortably 2-up 😄 Albeit the OP's question is a bit like how lo...

Re: Waterproof 3-seasons touring gloves
Akito, there's a name from the past. I have something similar, a pair of old Hein Gericke 3-season gloves which started out life as black, but have now become bleached to a shade of mid-grey. Still waterproof - I think - but wearing them outside the sleeve tends to funnel rainwater into them and whe...

Re: 2018 Africa Twin CRF1000 DCT - £7,000
It could be worthwhile putting your ad on the Africa Twin UK facebook group - there's quite often folks who say they're looking for sub-£10k AT's. (It's very largely CRF Africa Twins as there are other XRV facebook groups)

Re: Concept Bikers
Harley flat tracking is not so much of a joke, even now. The HD concept has now gone live in India, with a 400cc single, but I can't see too many Indians adopting the HD concept - I suspect they're not that easily fooled!

Re: Concept Bikers
As I’m sure I’ve mentioned before, but I reinvented myself on discovering Adventure bikes. Sold the Harley, cut my hair, shaved the beard off and purchased a 1200 Explorer. A GS was just one step too far. Well, that's so disappointing, if true.... you have morphed from a cool biker dude to a motorc...
