Re: Safety and learning to ride again...

Strangley enough its when sitting down as standing when on trails its second nature.. Suggestions please... Sounds like your centre of gravity has shifted. Try heavier boots or leave you wallet at home ;) Actually I always find a bike more stable with panniers. The difference with my old Pegaso was...

Re: Help and advice

I tested a few bikes a couple of years ago. Same sort of use, commuting and tours. I ended up with a Multistarda 950 which is a great bike but not something I recommend for commuting. I would stay away from the big KTM and Honda, again probably not great for commuting. And having bought a new bike t...

Re: Street Triple OR Tiger 800 XR

Since you're in with the Triumph crowd why don't you try one of the scramblers. They're not as cumbersome as a full fat XC bike, perhaps a bit easier on the rider, a bit more practical then the Street Tripple and you're used to no fairing. They're also a hoot to ride. I'm having a great time on a Du...

Re: Around the World on a Ducati Desert Sled

And there's me just been lecturing everybody why the Ducati engine is not suitable for RTW trips :? Mainly because my Multistrada need the 18,000 mile "Desmo" service which is a minimum of £850  and that's going to hurt. I wonder if he had the two "Desmo" services done 8-)...

Re: Officially old?

I've just recently got back into mountain biking after a lay off of around 15 years. In the last year I've bought three bikes and I'm on one or other of them two or three times a week and loving it. But I was complaining to my daughter that I do feel tired a lot, how did I get so old (57) without no...

Re: Beware lomo shit panniers...

Come on eh, these pictures are crap and show no relevance to what the issue seems to be, also, to the other poster who said that the company told him to take a needle and thread, sorry mate, not believing that whatsoever. btw, I have no connection at all to Lomo other than I have a couple of their ...

Re: ITV 4 Thursday 9pm

Whoever edited that last episode wants sacking. All I remember is Henry saying "Hay now look mate. Mate mate mate mate sublime sublime mate mate sublime. Sublime mate sublime sublime". And there's a road in Wales that's really good. There's plenty of You Tube "programs" on motorc...

Re: Beware lomo shit panniers...

When I contacted Lomo about a problem with stitching coming undone within a few weeks use they told me to get a needle and some nylon thread :o I hope you have better luck!

Re: Bizarre situation with Bennetts!

I was told, when I queried the case of cleaning the bike, that reasonable circumstances would be taken into account. So leaving it answer the phone, fill your bucket with water, or open the garage door etc would be acceptable but leaving it all day (because you've gone out or something) would not. T...
