Re: Toast!!!

If your using meths as a fuel, the black crap you get on the bottom of your pans will be on your toast if you cook over the flame!

Re: advice on YAMAHA TT 600 BELGARDA

HI raced one for a couple of rounds of the big bike challenge, great bike, good suspension ohlins front and rear. Only problem is lower engine mounts cracking, back by the swing arm. If it seems a bit flat have a look at the carb linkage and adjust so that they both open at once, transforms the bike...

Re: USEFUL TIPS TO SHARE FOR GARAGE OR TRAIL?.

If you burn your clutch out in a remote place, lay the bike on its side so you don't lose the oil. take of the cover and remove one of the friction plates. Snap it on half and replace in the clutch housing with one piece on top of the other. When you bolt it back together the clutch will be locked, ...

Long shot!

Hi im looking for a sprocket carrier for a KTM 660 rally (thats the bit that connects the sprocket to the cush drive on the rear hub)

I think the 640 or 625 may be the same.

If you have one, or just information on what fits it would be a real help, i know this is a long shot.

Thanks Steve.

Re: Off-Road downhill braking

If its real steep, lose, rutted, or just to hard for your standard of riding, get the bike over the edge of the slope hold it on both brakes and stall it in first. You can now take your foot of the rear brake, keep hold of the front! The trick is to now use the front brake to gently ease the bike do...

Re: Deep water crossing

As well as the issue of air intake and exhaust, have a good look at how fast the flow is. It doesn't have to be very deep (50cm+) to be imposable to hold the bike up if its fast flowing. Every time the depth doubles the force is four times as great! If you decide to walk the bike through stand on th...

Re: Carrying fuel in a Trangia burner

I always empty the burner when I'm finished cooking. The seal is not great and if you don't want everything smelling and tasting of meths empty it and wrap in plastic away from food and clothes.
