Re: war on britains roads bbc1 5th dec 2100

The bottom line is that you cannot have unlicenced people using the roads as there is no control.

Cylists have to use cycle lanes.

We need more cycle lanes like on the continent.

The future has arrived

Just what we need to see around corners when riding the bike. First of all we need a requirement. 1. Must be affordable. 2. Must provide good quality video. 3. Must be automous, we are riding the bike so cannot provide any control. 4. Must be able to pre program a route or better still lock onto the...

Re: DVLA "Loosing" your entitlement?

Yes, the DVLA seem to be struggling on a number of fronts.

Its usually a sign of demoralised staff.

Must admit that I scan and back up all my documents.

Re: R1200GS for under £4k

Aye there seems to be a lot of BMW R1200GS on the market, so many that BMW can no longer hold up the price. The five owners seems quite a lot. All the electronics on these bikes make me nervous, a BMW ABS modulator is £1,000. Its probably been serviced by BMW and as you know mechanics never touch up...

Re: classic bike mot....... yipee!!!!!

Just a thought about the insurance question.

You know that if you lodge a bond ( used to be £50,000)against any accident claims you do not need any insurance.

If you have house it may be possible to use that as a guarantee against accidents claims.

Re: SORN invalidates insurance

Thats a good question that I do not know the answer too. But I suspect if you have two vehicles on the road at the same time, you need two sets of plates, so you would have to request a second set of plates and of course pay tax on those second set of plates. Any vehicle on the road has to carry pla...

Re: Worldcrosser parts

Fitted the Drive Shaft Protector onto the Super Ten.

Looks like it should provide some protection.

Re: Worldcrosser parts

Finally received the Worldcrosser parts from Arnolds, slight delay as they got the address wrong.

Tank pads good value at £10.

Drive shaft protector looks good, hard black anodised, looks about 14SWG alloy.

Have attached the assembly instructions.
