Washington is just such a fantastic place, because there is a bit of everything there. Wild coastlines, temperate rain forests, volcanoes, huge bays, big cities, mountain ranges and then semi deserts. And for once in the USA, its not too far away from each other!
Nice vid, I'll be back!

Re: Morocco - Alone in July?
You've got to sensibly weigh up what might happen. Sand will be your proper enemy. I set off alone on a 100km piste and as soon as you hit sand and drop your bike when loaded is going to hurt your water to get it picked up. I set off with 6 litres. I'm not a bad rider, but after a good 10-15 drops, ...

Re: The Long Mynd
Steve, Betty is now re-shod with some decent tyres and ready for a bit of trail action. I took a trip to south wales fully loaded with camping gear taking in some of the s-shrop trails last month. I even had to cut me way through some branches that had fallen on the lower track under the Mynd! Let m...

Surely you want a Pegaso? I have one here. Today MOT'd with no advisories, new mitas e 09's about 50k on the clock, all a bit cacky mileage.
Actually dude, fancy another ride out. You stay on your perfect Honda and I am much more likely to stay on mine now!

Great to hear about your trip,
Iceland has been on the radar for some time and it is good to hear about your experiences.
It takes effort and willing to do it to post a report so thanks
Cheers Dude!

Re: Anyone rode a motorbike without a helmet?
I did a bit when I was riding around N america in the early 1990's. Sunburn is a big problem because you just don't feel it until you stop and your face sides off. Getting hit by big bugs is also very uncool because you jump a mile when you get hit in places you wouldn't expect them to. Clipped on t...

Re: What location details do 999 services require ?
I was on a first aid course a few years back and they said that if you used the international 112 emergency dial code (as long as you have a signal) they could triangulate cells to get a rough position. Not sure if that is rubbish, but someone might know. Better than that, know where you are. It isn...

Re: Acceptable Margin
If you want to be a sucessful tour operator, I'd say you'd need at least a 50% mark up. You've got to live. A few problems that will always happen so that percentage will always get eaten into. If I was going to do a tour, which I most certainly will never do, I'd aim initially to make a 100% mark u...

Re: First bike for under £2k
I wouldn't be too specific and the longer you have the better bet you will have finding something that you want. Only buy a bike you want though! I bought a 660 Pegaso 5 years ago for £1500 from a main dealers fob off agent. It had high mileage for a 3 year old bike, had been used as london commute ...
